Building Committee Update (05/04/17):

As the pictures above show, CBF has made wonderful progress with the new building.  It's exciting to now see the structure coming together so quickly.

Latest updates:
  • An electrical contractor has been decided upon.
  • The decision was made to have the HVAC on the outside of the building to save room on the inside of the building.  There will be three chases on the rear of the building.
  • The stone work was decided upon by the Color Girls.
  • Samples of interior door colors were given to Deb Myers and her Committee.
  • Interior painting to be done by the church - except for the ceilings.
  • Driveway is open to the pavilion and water installed to the building.
  • Mag meter manhole is installed.
  • Floor is scheduled to be poured the week of May 8.‚Äč

Romans 8:31
What then shall we say to these things?  If God is for us, who can be against us?

As always, if there are any questions, please contact a Building Committee member, and they will do their best to address your concerns or answer your questions.

It has been a long road.  We have traveled it together.  Not alone, but with God at our side the whole way.  He will never let us down.  He is always there to guide and protect us and most of all love us as we are.

Committee members:
Steve Fulton, Thomas Shawley, Earl Salser, Barb Dittman, Kris Hartzell, Carl Silverberg, Dave Brueck, Dave Rivers, Deb Myers

What is our project?
We are planning to build a new facility to not only house worship services but enable us to better serve Sunday school classes and other weekly and seasonal events, such as Vacation Bible School, Christmas and Easter services, banquets, and even outside events.  This new building will serve as a worship facility, teaching facility, prayer facility, library facility, church event facility, even a community gathering place.

The house which I am to build is great, for our God is greater than all gods.   ~II Chronicles 2:5

Why are we doing this project?
This building project goes way beyond just building a new sanctuary and Sunday school rooms. This project will enable us to go further than what we’re already doing and better serve the community and beyond. We’re growing!   As a congregation, we’re getting younger. More members are joining bringing with them more babies, more children, more teenagers.   We have outgrown our current facility in many ways. Our current building is very limiting in who, what, and how we worship, teach, and accommodate people. It is more affordable to build a new facility than to attempt to make the current building “work”.   In order to be good stewards of the Lord and what He has given us, we need to do more. This building project paves the way for us to provide for current needs as well as future growth thus ultimately glorifying God.

In Him, the whole structure is joined together harmoniously, and it continues to grow into a holy sanctuary dedicated to the presence of the Lord.   ~Ephesians 2:21

When are we planning to build?
NOW - Gods' time is now!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you. plans to give you hope and a future."  ~Jeremiah 29:11
How much will each family be expected to give?
The type of commitment you make lies between you and the Lord. Please prayerfully consider what you might be able to give over and above your usual tithing. Each family and individual should give what God puts in their heart to cheerfully give. The dollar amount is not as important as the heart commitment.

I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God that which costs me nothing.   ~II Samuel 24:24

Can our congregation raise such a large amount of money?
Absolutely! While this seems like a daunting task, remember nothing is impossible with God.   We can accomplish it through God’s power when we all do our part. This campaign has been led in faith and supported by prayer since the beginning.

With men, this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. ~ Matthew 19:26

What can I do now?
First, and foremost, pray. Pray continually. Pray for our efforts to meet God’s calling for a new facility. Make plans to become involved with a team during this campaign. With God’s guidance, determine what your gift will be. Make a financial commitment over and above your regular tithing to be paid out over a three-year period. Thank God in advance for His faithfulness and provision.

God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.   ~Philippians 4:19

What if I have questions?
We want to answer any and all questions related to this campaign. No question you have is considered insignificant or unimportant. You will be receiving numerous written correspondences and newsletters containing information of current happenings as well as near-future plans. To ask a question, just contact the church office.

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name be the glory, because of Your love and faithfulness. ~ Psalm 115:1
