OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

You have the opportunity to touch a child's life somewhere around the world and give them the opportunity to know Christ's love.  Save your shoeboxes (or purchase plastic shoeboxes). Purchase small items to fill the boxes (like school supplies, toiletries, small toys, etc.)

Don't wait any longer and let the deadline sneak up on you. Go to Samaritan's Purse website for complete details on how to properly pack your box as well as ideas of what you can pack...and what you shouldn't pack

Hey folks! I thought I'd give something new a try on our website: A DISCUSSION / SHARING FORUM.

Like it's stated below, I've added this forum for everyone to share any new news...a funny story...a great recipe...if you have a question needing answered...or whatever. Obviously I'd hope everyone will keep their comments appropriate.

So.....I guess I'll leave this forum here and available for awhile to see what everyone thinks about it. Let me know. Thanks, Andrea

Oh, by the way, that weird stuff in the box below is the verification code you'll need to insert every time you post a comment. It is necessary to help avoid that spam-like crud that sneaks in. :)

WHo's hands are you in?

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Roger Clemens' hands is worth $475 million.
It depends on whose hands it's in.

A tennis racket is useless in my hands.
A tennis racket in Andre Agassi's hands is worth millions.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A rod in my hands will keep away an angry dog.
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A slingshot in my hands is a kid's toy.
A slingshot in David's hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hands it's in.

Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in Jesus' hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it's in.

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will Produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it's in.

As you see now, it depends whose hands it's in. So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your
dreams, your families and your relationships in God's hands because...
It depends whose hands it's in.

hello! Is there anybody out there? I need advice on canning yellow wax beans- some say use vinegar, some say just salt water? Anybody have a suggestion?
Thanks!
ROBIN SCHICK said 8/12/2010 2:45:26 PM :
Peggy,
according to the "So Easy to Preserve" cookbook that I have it says to cover them with water and to add 1 tsp of salt to each quart of beans. and to leave 1" of headspace. Sorry it took so long to answer but I'm just getting caught up.
PEGGY said 8/13/2010 3:55:49 PM :
Thanks Robin- that is what I did- only did 1/2 tsp salt for pints. Some recommend only using a pressure cooker though where as I used a canner. Thanks- checked your blog- lots of success at the fair!!!
ROBIN SCHICK said 8/28/2010 8:37:38 PM :
Yes the boys had a good time at the fair and it made it that all of the hard work paid off for them. Thank you for all you do for the Kids Klub program, the float looked really cute tonight.
PEGGY replied 8/30/2010 10:56:59 AM :
Thanks Robin- I enjoy the Kids Klub alot!!! I appreciate the support and all your help with the float too! Also thanks to Andrea and Greg for all the help, supplying the vehicle, trailer and driver, and all the little "extras" that you all do!! It's wonderful to work together in the church family and especially in God's family!
